Bellows began as a single pro lab in Miami and has since grown into a network of labs—Miami, Chicago, and beyond—trusted by photographers nationwide.

We handle every part of the process with care: precise film development, expert scanning, and hands-on printing. Whether it’s C-41, B&W, E-6, ECN-2. or tape digitizing, Bellows is built to serve photographers who want consistent results, honest color, and real craft in a digital-first world. Photographers who want to stand out.

Our Services

Film Development

Your film hits chemistry less than 24 hours after it arrives—no back-log pallets, no mystery stains. Color (C-41) is souped in seasoned Noritsu racks; B&W is hand-tanked in Ilford archival chemistry; E-6 and ECN-2 run in dedicated lines to keep colors honest.

Push/pull and cross-process requests are logged on every hanger, then checked by a second tech before rinsing. Expect 24 hour turn turnaround for all your processing needs, and a text/email when your film is ready for viewing and sharing.

Scanning

All Bellows Locations run Noritsu HS-1800 and Frontier SP-3000 units for roll scanning—both profiled weekly with in-house IT8 targets—so skin tones stay consistent across stocks. Choose Medium JPGs for socials, Hi-Res JPGs for print spreads, or full 14-bit TIFFs when you need every grain. A human operator frames every shot (no auto-crop) and flags overlaps or scratches for a gratis re-scan.

Our Flextight X5 and Epson 13000XL scanners can handle the highest of quality scanning, up to 8000DPI Per Frame.

Printing

At Bellows, we treat printing as an extension of your art. Every detail—tone, texture, color, and depth—is preserved with intention.

Our studio specializes in large-format fine art prints up to 44" × 60", crafted with archival papers and pigment-based inks for museum-quality longevity. Choose from matte, gloss, luster, metallic, or premium fine-art stocks to match the mood of your work.

Each print is hand-inspected, color-checked, and packaged with care so it arrives ready to frame, display, or share.

Bellows Film Lab is dedicated to supporting artists—bringing your images to life with the same craft and precision we bring to every part of our process.

Flextight X5 Drum-Quality Scans

Virtual-drum mounting means zero Newton rings and up to 6300 dpi without wet mounting. Perfect for gallery editions or photobooks. Files arrive as untouched 3F raws or colour-graded TIFFs—your choice.

Darkroom Rental (Atlanta Only)

New

Go beyond scanning and discover the hands-on magic of analog printing. Bellows’ Atlanta location now offers a private darkroom rental—everything you need to develop and print up to 20×24″ black & white enlargements, all by yourself, by appointment only.

Camera Rental

Test-drive the classics before you commit. Every body is CLA’d, shot-tested, and leaves with fresh batteries. From point-and-shoot Contax T3s to a Hasselblad 503CM kit, the shelf rotates weekly. Try the classics before you own them.

Tape Digitizing

Mini DV, VHS-C, Hi8—if it’s magnetic, we can rescue it. Footage is captured at 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes, de-interlaced with motion-adaptive hardware, and delivered as an edit-ready MP4 or on a USB-C SSD. Time-base errors are stabilised, audio normalised, and tapes are returned (or recycled) alongside your negatives.
